MDA Vario 2 + Web'n'Walk

So my MDA Vario II finally arrived today, after much anticipation, and to say the least, it rocks, although I cannot connect to the internet with it, unless i'm connected to my computer via USB cable using my computer as a gateway to the internet, which is pretty useless to me. All the settings are default, and from what i know it should work, any help guys?

Does your PC connection use a proxy by any chance? if it does you need to set up to connection one with a proxy and one without< otherwise when you try phoning it can still attempt to find the proxy and hence fails>

i dont really understand whats going on here!

are you clicking on the internet explorer on the vario and its not connecting????

what error message are you recieving ???, pg cannot be displayed?

what is your postcode?

if the settings are messed up, go in and manually create a new connection.

On the PDA, tap on Start and then Settings.
Tap on the Connections tab.
Tap on the Connections icon.
Tap on the Advanced tab.
Tap on Select Networks.
Under the first drop down box, tap on New…
In the Enter a name for these settings: field, enter T-Mobile GPRS
Tap on the Modem tab.
Tap on New…
In the Enter a name for the connection: field, enter T-Mobile GPRS
Tap on the Select a modem drop-down list and select Cellular Line (GPRS).
Tap on Next.
In the Access point name: field, enter general.t-mobile.uk
Tap on Next.
In the User name: field, enter user
In the Password: field, enter wap
Tap on Finish


either that or hard reset the device .
