They would not give me one, so switched to 02, who gave me 2 free.

Orange said you have to buy a phone from them..

Is it still the same today ?

I know some orange shops sell them, but I'm not sure which ones so you will have to ask

Orange will sell 3G PAYG SIMS.
Contract sims are only available when you buy an Orange 3G phone

I brought one yesterday. The 3G Sims are actually free, but you HAVE to top up £5 to start using them.

You can get them from any Orange shop.

I appologise if this is banned but i sell them £1.60 delivered on ebay (or less if you make a decent offer) www.tmgauctions.co.uk - got about 200 left in stock. and each comes with a quid free credit.

But they still won't give you a 3G Sim for a contract without buying a phone from them.

Refused to do it for me. Had a spare PAYG one and tried to get it registered to her contract.

Thats bad crack. They should allow you to use any 3g phones... Their 3g selection isnt exactly the best.

Well its been a while since I got rid of Orange and moved to 02

I have to say I have had no problems, the other day I asked for a USIM for my son's phone, got it in the post 2 days FREE !

Changed from a 6680 to a Nokia N93, visited Nokia site and got the settings sent to the phone..

02 are a much better company

Why don't all the networks let you buy a usim online? Or they could give them away free?

No you are right. You cannot just get a 3G sim. Only orange shops and ebay have them, and of course 3G phones.
