It is a great phone -- has all the goodies I was looking for. :cheeky:

Expansion is with micro-SD, not mini-SD like the specs above say. Was able to transfer files with Bluetooth from a Mac Mini no problem. Haven't tried a PC yet, but the connectivity suite (free download) looks to have a lot of functionality. :)

Headphone quality excellent, but the wired headset tangles up way too easily. Voice recognition spotty.

Have gotten reliable GRPS connections in my area, but haven't seen EGPRS (EDGE) yet.

Keys are flat, not a great feel to them, but OK. Backlighting adequate, would have preferred something other than deep blue. FM works good, but wired headphones need to be plugged in.

Screen is QVGA, blows away just about any other flip-phone display.

External screen has a minor bug, where the digital time display jumps around, sometimes to the top where it's hard to read.

Phone rates an A+ for all the features they managed to cram in there.
Contruction seems a little delicate, rough handling could destroy the thing. One-hand flip open operation is nice.

The video recorder and 1.3-megapixel camera feature an 8x zoom. Supporting multiple audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+, the Nokia 6133 also can store approximately 750 songs on an optional 1 GB hot-swappable microSD memory card. So u can put a lot of music into this phone and enjoy them everywhere.
:)
As there are so many audio formats in the market, it's inevitable to meet with the audio converting problems .So a good selection is important.Xilisoft Audio Converter is a good choice, which provides an easy and completed way to convert between all of the popular audio formats. I have used it many times, and it provides one trial edition ,too. Here is the link (http://www.xilisoft.net/audio-converter.html) to download

USB was a disappointment, you have to buy a proprietary cable separately, not even listed by T-Mob yet. I would have preferred a mini-USB, and a standard headphone jack, but you use the special port on the top for both. Don't know if it charges from the USB or not. Bluetooth transferred files at about 70 kby/sec, so filling up a big memory card isn't practical that way.

Battery is tiny, both physically and capacity-wise. Figure maybe two days in normal use, quite a comedown from 10 days with my ancient Nokia. Surfing the web on the phone is as painful as you'd expect, can't wait to get it all set up with a laptop.

Overall, give the phone 9.5 out of 10. Audio quality is really good, reception seems good. More features than you'll ever learn to use.
If it were a bit heftier, bigger battery, standard jacks, it would be off the scale 1-10.

this phone is pretty good
the cord is a problem for most people but i was lucky enuff to own about 10 nokias in my life and had bought the dku-2 Cable a while back. This is the most standard for nokia phones but then again why not upgrade there plugs..
another feature i like about the phone is the file browser unlike my freinds Verizon Chocolate and a Few SamSung Phones you have to load the music and video files into there "appointed" area the 6133 can have music anywhere on the card or phone and you can browse thru the files like a computer
if anyone needs help with games music or just simple things on this phone email me glad to help

Something about Nokia 6133

IMPORTANT: THIS PHONE DOESN'T PLAY MP3 RINGTONES! I explain this further bellow.

I saw this phone on T-Mobile's website and immediately fell in love with it despite it being a Nokia phone.

I will admit that I have had a bias toward Motorola and have avoided Nokia phones from the beginning. I came across this phone looking for a good PDA/Smart phone/Data phone for T-Mobile.

The best phone I found was a third party phone from HP, but when I saw this phone it just grabbed my attention. :)

The best thing about this phone is that it has some PDA like qualities. It allows you to have an active calander on your phone's desktop with some notes, reminders, and the occasional to-do list (not pictures in any press photos) and shortcuts to your favorite applications, games, or whatever feature the phone has to offer (also not featured in press photos)

continue:

The full beauty about this active desktop :cross-eye like feature is that it can be fully customized (within reason) and can be turned on and off for those that don't need or want it.

The image quality in the phones displays are bright and colorful. You can fully see the rich texture of the colors in your images.

The extended memory slot in the phone allows you to use this phone as your mp3 player or carry many more games, images, movies, and ringtones than the phone can hold.

The built in 11Mb of memory the phone comes with is more than enough for the casual phone user and a healthy tease for those looking to do more with their phones.

The bluetooth connectivity allows you to add games, ringtones, music, images, and other stuff to your phone without having to pay for it. The music player not only plays mp3's, but also MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+, and WMA files.

As I said above, this phone doesn't play mp3 ringtones. That is both true and false at the same time. This phone will play mp3's as ringtones ONLY if they are signed by T-Mobile, meaning if you like paying for your ringtones from your phone carrier then it will play them as ringtones.

If you are like me and want to you your own mp3 collection as ringtones then this phone wont play them.

It will NOT play them as mp3's, YOU WILL HAVE TO CONVERT THEM TO WMA files in order to them music files are ringtones. So I searched some on the web and found Xilisoft WMA MP3 Converter is good for this ,which can convert formats between WMA and MP3 easily and fast, really do me a great favour. To some people that is a lot to ask for, but for me its just a small price to pay in order to get things the way I WANT.

This is truly the best phone that T-Mobile :cross-eye has out and will have out for a long time. If anyone out there is sitting on the fence debating whether or not to buy this phone - just do it!
