i've been a customer of vodaphone for i'd say the best part of 4 years as a contract customer...

this past may i got myself another sim card on a diff network and got a new fone as they offered good deals on text's...so this past july i called voda to change my tariff to the cheapest one going as i dont really use the voda handset much due to the other handset....i was told that was fine and i asked as i have minutes still oweing me can i have a bar put on my fone so once the free mins were used thats it for that month...no problem mr*** i was told...

now this mornin imagine my suprise wen i get a bill for 238 quid...so i ring voda, and basically am told "we dont offer a ban service no more"so why wasnt i told this in july i asked"its not on our records so there is nothing we can do"so why am i left with a stupid sized bill wen i shudnt be goin over 24 quid??

can any mod or whatever answer me this?cause im gona have to go into my local shop and kick some ass otherwise...

cheers

= You use the phone more than you think. Now I'm no expert on price plans but there would have been some heavy talking to get a £238 bill. Like a shed load of talking, unless it was 0890 numbers

why am i left with a stupid sized bill wen i shudnt be goin over 24 quid??

Becuase you used the phone more than £24 worth of call allowance.

Now you can go down to the shop and kick ass which will probably get you no where. Just pay up an learn to use the phone less, voda may have promised you a blocking service but if you want to talk and talk and talk untill the phone cuts you off becuase you have no credit left then you are wanting what they call a pay as you go sim.

the problem would of been a network delay, it takes time from when you make the calls to when they appear on vodafones system, in the time this is how you would of made the ammount of call charges. it may of been that there was 3-4 days between you making the calls and voda reciving them. at which point when the ammount unbilled goes over it would of been bared... this is why no mobile network offer this as a standard services anymore due to network delays ect its just not reliable
