Sim Registration Failed Message

Hi,

I got my N73 last week after my N70 packed in. I am happy with the phone so far but was a little concerned when it a Sim Registration Failed Message popped up like it would if you received a text message.

Does anyone know if I should be concerned by this at all? It all appears to be working fine.

i had that, there was a prob with my sim card - had to get it replaced. however this is also a known prob with the N73 - there was something about the newer firmware fixing this problem - maybe you need it reflashed?

So do I need to contact 3 to get it sorted? It's only happened the once so I didn't know whether to bother. Last thing I wanna do is send it off with the disaster that has just happened when I sent off my N70!

If you go to the above link and you have a USB cable you can update software, but atm the n73 is not listed. For noe you best bet is to go to a Nokia service centre which you can find by looking on the nokia site for your nearest one here>> http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,77483,00.html . They should do it for free as you are having problems (although it will most likely be a three-branded version). Then once the N73 is added to the first link you can then update for free from home.

I had this in the first week when i had an n73. It only happened the one night but it was quite annoying as i was trying to make an urgent call.

This is firmware bug that has been updated since. I have only suffered from it once, but I can see how it can be VEERY annoying.

Yes likewise it's only happened to me the once. I guess i'll just leave it for now as all appears to be fine.
