Hello,
I'm looking at either the web and walk or vodafone offerings. I searched but there are not any good threads on a how good is this datacard line.... If people could answer the questions I would be very happy.
I'm leaning more towards T-Mobile as I used to work for vodafone and vowed that they'd never get any money out of me but hey i'm fickle.
Do T-Mobile block any services. I will need access to web, e-mail, ssh, rdp, sftp and a few others that come to mind (these are on non standard ports above 50000)
What is the software "really" like. I've heard that its bad, but how bad. There are talks of the "option" software. If I phone t-mobile tech support and ask for the software do they send it no questions asked? Or is it a battle to prove that you need it?
I've seen a low res issue becuase of proxies. Does the option software bypass the proxies.
Also whats the card like? Reception good vs. bad over other cards?
Finally anyone with any experiance of these on HP laptops (nx9420 to be precise).
Cheers
Richard
