Jus a few questions:
is it true that the staff tariff is currently not available for a few weeks?
How long does it take to put on staff tariff?
Im gettin the flext 35 contract with the £5 off after the 18 months will the half price goes back up to £17.50 per month?
Can staff put me on staff tariff just by my number?
Thank you very much for your help.

well, it's to do with friends & family. t-mobile have withdrawn this benefit for t-mobile staff due to dishonest employees that were abusing it for financial rewards from customers:eek:

hmmm I wish they had been a bit fairer and investigated it and left it running.
it does seems like a few bad apples have spoiled it for the rest of us. its a fantastic deal, by far the best staff perk I've had, lets hope we get it back nice and soon.

Are you saying that you saying that you condone this kind of attitude, selling the connections for £500, I hope not because this is the reason it could be stopped for most of friends and families of the innocent T-mobile staff members... Its only meant to be for family and friends, if they arent that just say no.
kobir
17-10-2006, 01:46 AM
I don't condone this behaviour but i am finding it hard to see how t-mobile will be able to filter out who really is a friend or relative of there staff. Your going to hate me for this but i think there should be a cap on the amount of friends and relatives added for each member of staff.

if u have a line discounted with the 'friends and relatives' on ur line, then if u was to say change ur number for some reason, would that 'friends and relatives' discount be deleted or would that continue to run

So if someone is added say after 3 months, and they have paid full price for the 1st 3 months, do they get the first three months half price too? Or does it just start from the next month at half price for life?
Grune

it starts from when its added.
as you pay your line rental in advance if u have just paid a full months line rental and you add it, they will credit that portion of the line rental. hmmm to tired to explain that any better.

once the discount is added, it stays on permanently. if u upgrade to a better tariff etc, you still retain the discount.

I wish I knew someone who worked for T-mob !! :(
Do the other mobile networks offer similar discount schemes ??
How did the T-mobile one work ?? Was it way too generous which is why they have stopped/suspended it ??
Could you get the discount on one account and then add other phones on to the same account and get those contracts at half price too ??
Did the 50% come off full price ..... or would it also include any promotions like the present 25% offer ..... i.e. a £20 contract, £5, minus 50% = just £7.50 a month !! SWEET !!
PS - Does anybody know if T-mob are gonna have any kick-ass specials in the New Year ..... I'm dying to get the MDA Compact 3 !! :D

If you're on Flext 75 you'll only get £25 off when Friends and Family returns. The discount is 50% off per month up to a maxium of £25.
So anything up to Flext 50 and you'll get the fully 50% off, with Flext 75 50% off would equal more then £25 a month off, so they only reduce it by £25.
We had an update from our area manager yesterday, there's still no certain date in place for it as yet, just that it's going to be in the new year.

The T-Mobile friends & relations scheme was under investigation by internal security and fraud detection for non compliant use by various channels within direct. The audit has now been completed and TMR direct staff will be please to learn that information regarding the new F&R scheme will be made available on the Intranet New Messenger early January. We appreciate your co-operation during the investigation. No staff have been disciplined or dismissed in this process as TMR have realised that control measures connecting customers to the old scheme were deficient.
