I've been offered the N73 for £50 and 6 months half price (12 month contract) on Talk and text 600.
Should I bee able to push them for a free upgrade handset?
Also on the K800i they offered 9 months half price (12 month contract) on the same plan.
I'm after a 12 month contract and a free handset upgrade, I just want to see what I can push the montly price plan to!
Nick.
just gor an N73 as a free upgrade, with 7 months free on a 12 month tariff - on a £30/month tarif (the 800 one i think)
seemed like a good deal to me - was organised by the custoemr retention boys after I asked or a PAC code to port out and back in to 3 as I had found some good reseller deals.
Theys ent this and a K800i cybershot on the same deal for my misses.
Hope this helps

Hi ewan,
That deal you mention here sounds like exactly what I'm looking for!!!!! Any hints n tips for what to say to the 3 customer service people. I reckon thats a cracking deal you got there!!
Did you actually tell them that you wanted your PAC to leave and then rejoin again straight away or not?
Any other info would be great!!
Joe
Hi there
I asked for pac codes for both contracts (mine and my wife's) At the time, i WAS going to go with a 3rd party deal, as a "new customer" with three. I did not tell them anything when I ased for my code, just that i had seen a better deal.
their customer retention departmetn then called me with an offer. WE got to 7 months free etc as part of the negotiation - I had them on the phone, and the misses reading out the offer from an online provider.
Best thing - get your PAC's, find the best deal you can, and see if they call. if they dont, take the deal you saw. I told the people with the deal that we were exisiting 3 customers, that didnt seem to matter.
as far as i can make out, worse case is that 3 dont pay their commission, i cant see how they can refuse you your incentives if you have already told them you are on a 3 contract.
good luck!

Very simple, just keep saying no to what they offer and see how far they are prepared to go. You will get a much better deal if you are a big spender when you come to upgrade ... but if you are on a £20 package and you never go over ... get ready to offered an LG :)
exactly right. we had 2 contracts one at 30,one at 35, ahve been customers for 3 years.
Teh uffered me an LGu400, on 7 day trial, i didnt like it, and took the timeot chek out what i did wnat, so tehy swapped it for the N73 without any fuss.
how did i do it - i'm a salesman (lol)

We were always discussing a 12 month contract, i dont remember everything, but they did offer 6 months free, I resisited, cos i already had a offer like that from a website, PLUS a free photo printer. 3 came back and said they would offer 7 months free. They have credited both my accounts with 7 months of line rental up front, so when the bills come in, the charges are deducted from the credit on each 3 account, then i guess when the credit is used up, they will begin taking against my direct debit again.
Much better than some websites where you have to redeem vouchers to the value of half your line rental at 3, 6 9 months once you have been on the tariff for that long - I always thought that sounded like a PIA
