N73 TomTom6

Hi all 1st post here.

I've recently installed tomtom6 on my N73 and am using the official tomtom GPS receiver. However I'm having trouble with random bluetooth disconnection. Sometimes it stays connected for 2 mins other times 15 mins. Please help it's driving me mad as I can't use it like this. Anyone else having this problem or does tomtom work fine on your n73?

i had the same problem i sold the receiver bought a hellos 32 channel no more problems works fine now

Thanks for the info. I googled hellos 32 and got no results, can you be more specific with make and model so I can buy something that works :cheeky:

I believe that there is an issue with bluebooth dropouts on current N73s. This should be addressed in a future firmware update.

I've got a GlobalSat sirf3 GPS and this happens to me; I will be waiting for a firmware update rather than buying a new GPS which probably will still have the same issue :p

I have tomtom and bluetooth gps reciver i had no problemat all. my reciver are a sirf3. 20 chennels.

Hi,

I had the same problem on the 3 network on the following phones:

2 x N70's, N73

Cured the problem with an E61.

This is the only nokia that TOMTOM gurantee Navigator 6 to work with.

I would bet that N73 will appear on the Tomtom compatibility list as soon as a new firmware is released which fixes the bluetooth dropouts. They don't happen that often anyway and it recovered itself so it's not too bad IMHO.

N70 won't run TT6 anyway as it's not s60v3...
