Movie Files

I jus riped a DVD on to my computer.

I set the file type as PSP because I thought it would play on my n73 as well.

but it doesnt work as "filetype unrecognised"

what should i convert the file too?

And any programs to use (FREE or with a FREE trial)

Save it as mpg4. This seems to play fine. For some reason realplayer files don't work despite the "realplayer" app on the phone (see my thread elsewhere). To convert i use "isquint" which is free but this is for the mac, not pc.

For the n73 you would have to convert it to one of 3 file types.

H263 (3GP)

H264

or AVI in smartmovie format.

For policy reasons we cannot give out information on where you can get free versions of this but if you look around hard enough you will find one.

Good programs to use for converting for these file types are Xillisoft, Super or Mpegable. For avi format you need to get Smartmovie.
