Note:
This review is out of date, but it has live pictures that some of you might enjoy as well as comparison pictures. I wrote this about 7 months ago, so it is DEFINATELY out of date. I also sold the phone two months after the review, so I can't answer most questions about it. But it's here for those of you who are considering buying this phone.
Please also note that the review was written for the North American audience and not the British audience at a time when an unlock was not out (I don't know if one is now, and I don't really care now that I've sold the phone anyway)

Firstly, where to start?
Please excuse me if you see typos - 1) I am incompetent 2) my "H" key is broken/faulty! This is my first (fully blown out) review ever.... and I should add that this is my way back into the world of Nokias. My previous Nokia's in order first to latest: 8310 (worldwide dualband version of 8390), 7650 (Nokia's first camera phone, and a big one it was! Dual band GSM for use outside North America), 8210 (worldwide dualband version of 8290), 7210 :clapping:
I am back and I am pleased to see I'm very satisfied with the changes and what I'm seeing since my last Nokia.....
First feelings are wow this is a nice sized Nokia, roughly similar size compared to 7210 (no I don't ave one at hand to compare), lovely 3G to match, and lovely slider, my second so far (the first was a Nokia too!), and bloody good resolution for the screen (320x240 pixels), radio, and it takes Mini SD's (up to 1GB at the moment) - and did I mention the 2 megapixel camera? :P
A contract was taken out with 3 (Hutchinson) here in the UK. I won't talk too much about 3 here, but rather the phone itself. Don't confuse 3 the network provider/carrier with 3G the Technology please ;)
I won't bore you with the specifications of this phone... instead we're here to see PICTURES!! mmm... big BIG pictures as a matter of fact, and a final note..........
...... while I know tat not many of you would get the opportunity to own this phone due to BB5 and the fact that it's currently on 3 and they charge full price for an unlock code, I do hope to wet some appetites, and make you all DROOL..... if yyou are after this phone, or something similar, it may be wise to check out the Nokia 6270, which is similar, only this is the "big brother" 3G version. Sit back, grab a bread roll to nibble on, and relax.... here's the pics and details! Ask me any questions you have as well afterwards!!
Frequency Specs
The 6280 is a Triband phone with 3G UTMS W-CDMA and can perform video calls as well as voice calls when in a 3G service area. Unfortunately, the SIM card I am using in it is temporary so I can't make any video calls to tell you what it is like with the Nokia. 3G also allows fast data transfer, although in practice this is limited by 3

The Phone itself
The Nokia 6280 in all it's glory! Note the several themes I am trying out... and the "Instant Feature" wit annoying 3 adverts is visible... I later figured out how to remove it hehehe :D
The phone is actually slightly smaller in all lengths than my Sony Ericsson V800 as well as the 4th Gen 40GB iPod, although not as thin as it. Still, it feels good in your hand, althoug probably not like a Samsung D500 or Motorola PEBL, for example, would.

It's based off the TV series we have in the UK run by Chris Tarrant, however without data transfer with this temporary SIM card I have in the phone, I cannot use it unfortunately.

Camera + Sample Pics!
This bit I'll post some sample photos! Yay! The camera taking the Photos of the actual phone is a Minolta Dimage Xt (3 mpx) and the phone itself features a 2mpx camera.
Here's what it looks like in the Camera mode. There is a button on the side to load the camera which can also be used to snap the pics.

Overall Impression and Summary
Generally, I am very impressed with the phone... Only time will tell if this phone is sold SIM free or if O2 in the UK release an unlocked version (only 3 is selling this phone, and Vodafone either are already or will soon), otherwise BB5 is preventing the phone from being unlocked at the moment. It's a nice phone, it has the newer type charger with the plug about 2mm diameter (which I swear could break any moment roflmao...)... it has an FM radio which I have not tested out yet.... The camera is probably best used on the Highest quality and probably at 1280 x 960 as the highest resolution (the next one) is such poor quality), and it is almost definately sensible to buy a bigger memory card for those MP3s as well as photos and videos. it's such a sweet phone, maybe I'll add an update in a few days time, or post as I use it whenever I am online, since I've only had a few hours to toy with it.
