I'd like to use my laptop to connect via my mobile, but I don't know which phone number to use...
my laptop gives the suggestion of *99*12345567789
Any ideas?

the number is *99#
also in your modem advanced options, try this initialization string, not sure about your device, think it maybe a vario???
if it is put this in: at+cgdcont=1,"ip","general.t-mobile.uk" and hit ok
that should be u ;)

that worked, using nokia infared settings in OSX, although its via bluetooth on a n n70
