1. Duff phone
2. Duff sim
3. Duff network (unlikely but possible)
Can you swap the sim into another phone - that will give a clue
Assume its Vodafone, so where are you based? That may help
Hi,
I work for Vodafone. As Dave says, if you could provide a post code location I'll be able to have a look on our systems to check for any site issues we may be currently encountering.
If you'd like to keep your post code private you could always go to www.vodafone.co.uk, select the 'contact us' option then the email option, please include the following details in your email:
- Make and model of handset
- Post code of where the problem is occuring
- Mobile / Account number
- Address including post code
If you leave the code FIT135 in your email this will route through to somebody who will be able to help you.

Sitefinder only reports what is there, not if they are working or not. We had a completley new site put up. It was on Sitefinder for 4 months before it was turned on.

The one at central networks substation and the one on the police station are not built i have checked what is the point of telling sitefinder about these mast's dont the different departments in vodafone communicate with each other before releasing this info, you have to admit in stroud its a muckup all other networks just built masts turned them on end of story!

Have you talked to Sitefinder? It would be good to know exactly how they operate.
I've had a look round my post code and found there are a few of the lampost style mast not even on Sitefinder - one has been there for a couple of years now.

Human error i suspect or maybe a way to increase network coverage towards 80 percent by 2007 with a virtual network just on paper. 3 and orange will only get there the others are starting to lag behind i was surprised by how many smaller towns orange is covering now, still OFCOM are going to check signal soon.On there website they should have a form to fill in to get them check poor areas because no town or city has coverage as good as there maps and the fines would pay for the test time.

O2 have asked OFCOM for a definition of exactly what is meant by 80%. You would think they would know since they have been in the business since the days of Cellnet!
Looks like they want to negotiate.

Looks like they want to negotiate.got an email from vodafone today even the one UMTS mast that is built they have no record of it, its planned for the future well done, still orange started a mast north of stroud it took 2 years to build it was overgrown with weeds for ages its quite easy to forget when you have thousands!
