View Full Version : N73:Setting a photo from Gallery as Wallpaper in Full size

Good afternoon to you all.

This is really annoying me.

I know I can choose a photo from my gallery & apply it as my wallpaper , however is there any way I can make the photo larger so it fills the whole screen.

Currently I can't seem to achieve this , and I can't see where there's an option in the settings to possibly ' fill the screen ' & it looks rather silly/daft just filling some of it.

I hadn't actually bothered with a wallpaper yet, but now I have, it's annoying me too!

Anyone? :)

have had a look around and apparently it will only display in the section underneath the time and signal bars, and above the selection keps, so that section is actually square. If you try a wallpaper that's resized to 240x240 you'll see what i mean. I'd take a picture and post it here, but I don't think the mods would like my wallpaper!

Indeed that's the only joy I have had too.

Someone on another forum suggested that I bluetooth the picture over to the PC , enlarge it to fit phone , and then bluetooth back. Thing is with a phone like this , it really should do it for you.

My friend has the Samsung E900 & wife has LG Chocolat. Both these do this perfectly , and very nice quality too.

go to themes and click walpaper as user defined works for me
Edit actually it mus b the pic cos it works fine on gallery

When I go to themes , where is the option for user defined please , as I don't see it.

I see you edited your post. I was about to say that I can see where you can use user defined etc , however no option to enlarge it to fill the screen.

Hi all,

This is a Symbian OS issue. All symbian phones will only allow a wallpaper to fill the bottom 80% of the screen. The only way to get a totally filled screen is to use a theme. you can download a free theme maker off the internet and then use your 320x240 picture as the theme background. this will now show the wallpaper full screen. sweet.

hi i have n73 music edition and tried to place a image with dimensions 240 * 272 as wallpaper. still the wallpaper is coming in the middle only. Can any one help me out?

The only way to get a totally filled screen is to use a theme. you can download a free theme maker off the internet and then use your 320x240 picture as the theme background. this will now show the wallpaper full screen. sweet.
