Just wondering if anyone has ordered one yet on Vodafone? My sister had a K800i on o2 which she lost a few weeks ago and I was going to recommend she get an N73 as a replacement with the insurance money

Yup, got one last week, and getting another tomorrow from Voda, some stores have them.... (I order for our work, hence multiple phones) I was lucky though, mine is totally unbranded and unlocked!! Not giving that up in a hurry...!

Will try, but about to go Dublin this week on a business trip, if I get some time certainly will do. So far I would safely say this is one of the best phones I have ever owned and have not regretted in the slightest getting rid of my N80 for the N73.

Camera is stonking, web browser excellant, phone over all superb, but a few bugs, so far it has reset while writing a text message, corrupted a memory card, and today I got "sim card registration failed" and had to reboot. Even with these bugs, still worth it. No more annoying slider that unlocks the keypad in your pocket from the N80, during the 2 weeks with that I managed to ring the MD, Chairman and a couple of directors just by sitting down!....

Will try to get some pics and do a better write up soon.

I'm thinking of getting one of these to replace my N80 which I'm getting bored of now. Either an N73 or an N93 but I assume the N93 is going to be too expensive when it comes out

Guy's in the last 12 weeks I've tried to upgrade from my N70, had 2 n80's and although it was a nice phone could not get a reception and the slider used to wind me up. Then tried the n91, what a brick. Hated it. I then got what i'd really been waiting for, the N73.

What a phone. Got my 2 gig card in it and I love it. One or 2 little things, but a software upgrade will fix it. Camera is superb, MP3 player excellent and guess what, you can also make calls on it.

If anyone needs any help or further questions drop me a line.

Vodafone, quite happy with it. Also forgot to mention excellent web browsing, the forums look good on it :)

Not one of the N80's I have had have been the same. All buggy in one way or another. This one is as unpredictable: quirky, if I were to be over kind. Yeah, you do get bored......but I still find the slider quite tactile.
Sadly, It appears that my pockets are keen on taking the helm too!
Should my latest N80 really screw up....and I have really persisted with it (them!), then I wouldn't mind an N73.
Until something better comes along! Ha

For those of you who are wondering on whether to get this or the n93 or the k800 I have posted a link to a review which tests all 3 including the new LG 5MP camera against each other in all conditions. Would reccomend someone reading it first before going out to get one of these phones.......

Hi There

I have just got my N73 on Vodaphone and think it is the best phone I have owned. The pictures are really crisp and have a nice colour balance to them. I am just trying out the other features and am really happy with those. I specially like the Radio which is crisp and clear, and much better than previous ones I have tried.

I needed to get a personal phone as the one I have needs to go back to job and decided to try the K800i, as I had never had a Sony before. Number of people at work raved about them, but after 2 days of having one I just couldnt work with it. Yes it has a great cam on it but just the whole setup of it was totally different, even down to the space bar for txting, which i really off putting. The biggest bug for me was the ca lens which kept on opening when taking out of pocket and I am sure the over will break off at some point, whereas the N73 seems a much better design. Another reason I want one of these was so I could use GPS software on it, and the Sony wasnt Symbian as I found out later

Cheers
T.

They may well be in stock. I remember when the k800i came out it was initially only for new customers and upgrade customers were told they wernt in stock. This was only for a week or 2 but I think the same happened with T Mobile and the w810 aswell.

And i wouldnt rush into getting your hands on early models either as time and time again (n70, n80) those who get the very first batches of phones tend to get the buggiest.

You only have to look at forums like mobile-review where a lot of Scandi and Central European people were the first to get the n80 yet still suffer from thos bugs.

Of course a firware update would sort any bugs out but youd want the phone to work perfect first time wouldnt you.

Now down to 340 on expansys.

Id expect this to drop to just under 270 by xmas to keep up the pressure on the k800i which is rapildy dropping.

I got one SIM free (£399 from CPW). My insurance paid for it though fortunately, I lost my N80 in a field while I was drunk :) I know the screen isnt as nice and it lacks wifi but the battery life and speed compared to the N80 (plus the stereo speakers) make up for it

Received mine today on an O2 upgrade. I got several months line rental free but the phone was £100 which works out about £30 or £40 quid for the phone.

Have a data package to try out the web for a month.

Everything great so far, only 02 thing on it is a theme. Software works well after the initial 25 second startup time. No freezes or anything dodgy as yet.

Pretty light and fits in the hand/pocket nicely, screen is great and reception is fantastic. I get 3g 95% of the time and have better GSM reception than my 6101.

Very, very impressed.

Just to give you an idea of the camera quality of the N73.

Porth Beach, newquay.

The original looks fantastic as a desktop wallpaper :)

Nice pic. Whats the video like?

Is it smooth or choppy like on the n80 ? (GSM arena reported the video as being not as bad as the n80 video but still a bit choppy) If you could post one that would be great.

The video's not bad, just a bit better than the N80 when I tried it. I don't think the site will allow me to upload it though.

Again, the pictures are superb, a shame I had to reduce the size and quality for uploading.

The N73 appears to be the most untalked about phone out there at the moment. It feels like the poor cousin in relation to phones such as the N80. If anyone gets the chance certainly worth the investment.

Try uploading the file here and then just posting the link. Its very simple just locate the file on your hard drive, wait a few minutes for it to upload and hey presto!!

N73 works ... i have a feeling it could well become the new 6310/6210 business phone as it does everything with few bells and whistles on the outside - which is perfect for what i need it to do.

I got a similar deal; very good deal (prce-wise) but manged to get a couple more months half price 8 months then £25/month..great deal....BUT sadly for me the reception and very poor 3G coverage in my area means the handset can hardly hold calls, drops calls, is very patchy/broken speech so I'm in a queue waiting to disconnect after an entire day calling vodafone -really disappointed with vodafone, though the N73 looks like a great phone!

guys, my phone did this today also.. Its basically when you run out of 3G reception this message is displayed. You DO NOT need to reboot. the phone will switch to 2G (GSM) by itself in a minute or two.
