Hi whats everyones views on this??

Im looking at possibly getting on on web and walk as not at all happy with 02's gprs billing. As Im incuring hight charges for basic wap sites on top of my 5mb bundle I have added.

Not sure why im getting high charges for basic wap sites ie bbc sky news etc. Bit of a joke as never had this problem with any other network...wish I had gone to t mobile now after leaving three for 02!

Most likely get this as a second phone and drop tarrif in a couple of month on my 02 one!

Anyone else on 02 reading this getting high data charges for basic browsing?

Just in the middle of jumping from O2 to tmobile. Cant wait till i dont have to keep an eye on the data counter. There data costs are a joke. I cant understand why any network hasnt even tried to get close to walk n web.

I see let me know how you find the service as I might get a second phoen for this purpose on T mobile. What handset and tarrif are you going for?

Im sending a letter to them now about it as I feel like im being charged higher than I should be for wap sites such as 02's portal and bbc etc. Will keep you posted on what the response will be.

And will copy my letter in for all to see once I have sorted out my issue.

I switched to T-Mobile after having a terrible time with 3 about 6 months ago. I have their Web n Walk and I find the service and coverage excellent. I have the original tarif which has a 40MB Limit, which I have never gone over. (I have access to WI-FI at home and work, so I use no data allowance at either).
One thing to be aware of with Web n Walk, they do have a fair use policy (about 2Gb per month). If you use your phone as a modem for your laptop, it's easy to use up your allowance and pay similar rates to O2. If you just want to access the net on your phone, you'll be hard pushed to use this up.
I'm sure the other phone companies will have to drop data prices soon, or they'll lose all their customers to t-mobile.
3 were doing excellent 12-18 months ago. If they'd listened to their customers, maybe they still would be. Everyone I know, who've tried 3 have left as soon as they could, swearing to never return. (The walled garden and abismol customer service did it for me).
I'd like to bet that that O2 bring out better tarriffs before the Christmas rush, but if they don't, T-Mobile are as good an operator as I've had so why not just switch.

Cheers for that Sank.

Seems like overall impression that T mobile seem to be who I should have switched too after leaving 3 after 3 years of there service.!!! GRRRR Never mind im on 12 months contract on on 02 so after another 3 months I can drop to the lower rate and use the t mobile plan for data until I can port across! I did hear that some store (dont know who) will buy out your contract to swap providers..ideas ?? Im looking at getting the MDA but heard the new one is due very very soon.
