Free texts...

Signed up my new Vodafone mobile on 19 June, 1000 free texts if I completed this by 31st July according to their email.

Still no free texts as of 21 July 2006, so I emailed them and they replied saying they had no record of my registration and that I would now not get the texts as I had to register before 30 June (in complete contradiction of the 31st July date I was previously told.)

After I registered on 19 June, I had service messages from Vodafone and one even stated "hope the texts were useful."

Obviously I must have regsitered to receive this text, and as I followed all their terms and conditions I am very angry about Vodafones refusal to honour this offer.

Sounds a bit rough......I would try contacting them again, ask to speak to the team manager and ask why they refuse to honour the offer, and tell them that you can provide proof of signup to the offer date plus confirmation from them regarding the offer........

sounds to me like you just got GPRS activated, if you registered you have to give your details (name adress, DOB, Password etc) if you gave all of these then you registered. I can't remember the dates to register by, tbh I thought this was July as long as the sim was activated (a chargeable call or text was done) during May/June. I'll have to double check this for ya tomorrow, your best bet though is to give CS a cal, and they can tell you what's what.

Only fair I should follow this up, as Vodafone finally gave me my free texts.

It took a while, and I still had no explaination as to why my registration was "lost," but I'm finally happy!
