Heard this today stright from vodafone

From September 1 st 2006 Vodafone will not be offering MMS (picture message and video messages) as part of Extras packs and Try me bundles.

In addition MMS will be removed from all Try me bundles, part of the perfect-fit price plans (offered up to April 2004).

The current Extras packs have been available for a number of years but have been primarily promoted to customers as “Text Packs” since launch.
Consequently many customers are not aware that they are able to send MMS (picture/video messages).

New MMS only packs (including picture & video messages) will be created in the future for customers who regularly send MMS

The changes mean that customers will still be able to use the value in their extras packs for sending text messages and surfing the mobile internet.

However, it will mean that customers will no longer be able to use the value of their extras pack to send picture messages and video messages.

That's just rubbish on Vodafone's part. What a farce.

Check the T&C's that came with your contract.

If it says MMS and Video messages are included then you can continue to use them for the duration of your contract.

yes gprs is still included in the bundle. just not the mms or video messages. think its a bad move on vodafones part. i just found out that they have made their change because of a servey they did which showed most VF customers did not no that these two were included in the bundle. for this reason they have decided to charge for it?! great company eh...

They'll be releasing MMS packs in the near future.

When I phoned I was told GPRS was not included in the extras pack. Their website is extremely vague about it now. Are you sure GPRS is included?

Amazing. This is the only reason i started a contract with them at the start of the month. Do i get a chance to pull out? Its been about 24-25 days.

as far as i know you can't its in the terms and conditions of your contract that vodafone are allowed to change things like this.. not exactly sure on it tho so i'll chack at work tomorrow! i'll also add that when the time comes you will have a chance to change over to a new price plan... that will give you a text bundle much cheaper that what you pay at the moment... so you could possible add a data bundle or something like that?

if they do i hope the bundles they offer are similar to what i already have in value. I really dont want to just take this given that i just started my contract and am past the return point.
