Hi all, not sure if this is the right forum or not but will post my question anyway :)

Just upgraded to the k800i on o2 which in my opinion is a great phone. I plan on using the data side of it quite a bit (rss reader, internet etc) and from what i have read O2 seems a bit of a rip off for data prices.

I upgraded after my contracted year was up and i know that i have entered into another 12month contract but could anybody please tell me if i can return the phone within 14days like you can when you first enter into a contract. Hope thats not too confusing.

I really want to go over to T-mobile now as they have the webnwalk and flext tariffs.

All in all im pretty happy with O2 but not with the data charges. Done next to nothing in the last few days using 3G and already im over my 1Mb free allowance.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

It depends on where and how you bought the phone from.

If you orderd the upgrade over the phone / internet you have 7 days under the distance selling regulations act 2000. Some networks / retailors may offer 14 days.

If it is like on orange and you bought it from an official orange shop, it is deemed that you have been given the chance to look at the phone, so there is no return period of grace.

T-mobile is the same as orange, when I last checked, just bought a phone on T-mobile.

Some official resellers may offer you a 7 / 14 return with no questions asked.

I dont know what independent shops offer. What seems to be appearing on some shops / internet sellers is a cancelation fee.

What you will need to do is check what the conditions are and what the small print says about retuning your phone.
