Anyone any ideas when the Sony Ericsson K800 may be available from Virgin ? ... Or should I just get one from ebay and put my existing PAYG sim in it ? Indeed can all of the K800s features be used in Virgin ... I don't think you can get direct email for instance ... thanks for your time .... Roger

im guessing it will be like the k750i and be on virgin eventually but will be very expensive on payg your best bet is to get it on o2 and get the handset unlocked and put ur virgin sim card in there will be cheaper, and also quicker than waiting for the handset on virgin

That i don't know have you tried contacting virgin? I would suspect it would be around the time TMob launch it. If you want it now then sim free would be the way to go. If your happy to wait im sure virgin will release it.

Yep I contacted Virgin and they didn't know 'yet' ... I posted here because this forum seems to have some inside knowledge now and then ... thanks Roger

Im sure they will eventually release it as Virgin were one of the first to get the k705i.

Is what you could do is Buy it on £19 a month contract from 02. And it ll be Sim Free. Then you can Pop in your Virgin card and just pay the £19 a month, IT works out so much cheaper than buying the phone sim free, Which is over £300 Everywhere where it is in stock.

i think your best off selling it back on ebay again as you might have trouble getting it unlocked

My thoughts exactly ... I've just bought an unlocked on ebay and hope not to lose too much on the resale of the 3 locked one .... best Roger
