are us tmoby customers being shafted by tmobile, trying to play hardball with the phone shops because they seem to be all abandoning good priced tmobile phone contracts in place of crazy priced or non existant tmobile deals
whats going on ?

do they have the nokia n73 there, that was supposed to be available last week.
i just think they are playing silly buggers with all the people that are due to upgrade via the money they make from us waiting, it would be cool if everyone waiting went to pay as you go, that would teach them.
its just fsarcial whats going on.

Put the toys back in the pram!
N73 won't be out until September. In all fairness I don't think a decision was made to do this cos it would annoy you personally. At the end of the day they're a business, and they'll have reasons for doing what they're doing. You may not agree with them personally, but that's what freedom of choice is all about, there are other networks available....
But come 12 or 18 months time when you're due another upgrade, you can bet something like this will happen again, regardless of network.

I agree t-mobile is sadly lacking any of the new phones like the n73 the n80 etc. it appears to be old phones they have

I'm fighting T-mobile's corner on this one... To be honest, I'm glad we're not doing the N series in great numbers, I find something bland about them! I know there should be a good choice for customers, but there's something about them that makes me think they're the same phone over and over again... Try something different! You might like it!

With features like web n walk being added on, software updates are gonna take longer.
N series being bland is my personal opinion, I always put the needs of my customer before my own opinions, if they want it and I've got it I'll sell it. However, if one of my customer's asks me what I thinks I'll tell them.
As for it being business, yes it is. Simple as, all networks and infact every business in the world will aim to please the customer as much as possible, but any business that tells you it's not out to make money is lying.
The way I saw it you took the push back of the release date as a personal attack on you, and that t-mobile were out to make money from you. To me that's total bullpoop, at the end of the day t-mobile have too many N70's and they want to shift them before they bring out the next model up.
There are new phone's coming out all the time, the fact this model isn't coming out right now is unfortunate, I've been due an upgrade for a while and I'm waiting for a specific phone to come out. The fact there is a delay on it doesn't make me think that t-mobile are out to make more money from me, it makes me realise there is a legitimate business reason for it.
T-mobile aren't blocking your upgrade, they're not saying you can't upgrade, they're not thinking that by not releasing this phone they're gonna make more money from you. The fact is the phone's been pushed back, they're are plenty of other options available for you.
The point of my rant is, don't be a martyr, exercise your consumer rights if you want and do move network if needs be. With the attitude you've expressed it seems to me that you're of the school that believes 'the customer is always right' was a true statement, and not something said for a laugh to pee off retail staff.

FIRSTLY i enjoyed all you wrote with a smile on my face, but as for the perosnal atack thing, i could have taken it as you patronising me there but i wont and will say that you have misunderstood, i am indeed right that they have cut commisions and are left with oversurplus stock which in the current market is becoming ever more outdated with models such as the nseries and new varios comin out.
so customers are being palmed off with outdated and non compelling handsets, and blinded with unlimited data, they dont and cant use unresstricted and masses of talktime they wont use.
now thats a business model indeed, as they make less money through handsets, which is why i see the general rule of thumb now, for CS staff, IS to advise on buying handsets through third parties / ebay.
i have been offered this escape plan before......but declined the kind offer to buy a handset sim free to save tmobile money - LOL
SECONDLY i have no intention of becoming a martyr at all, i go where i can find the best deal that works for me and at a price and choosing of my own intention.
That means the customer (little old me) is ALWAYS right !
As the handset offering from tmobile is stale and i will move network, just because it make more sense in the long run....
ill come back in 12 months when you have got your act together, sacked handset procurement, sorted out the "unlimited" data plans and taught the CS staff, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT ;0)
if by then its not shipshape in my opinion, ill exercise my options again - you see i treat MY pocket like a business ;0)
thanks for the respnse

I agree with the above comments, hand sets on T-Mobile are currently stale. Its time they offered the user the choice of more hand sets.
I can get the hand set that i want on other networks,I dont want to join them unless Im pushed and T - Mobile are pushing

precisely my point.
i get the impression they are trying to make this situation the norm.
thats why i plan to assert my power over them and leave the network and find a better deal - i mean flext t is good but its not that good, as to shackle me to a network with a substandard handset offering.
any other tmobile staff member's want to comment in this constructive and valid thread / debate.............

out of interest paw83 - would that change the way you speak to ME and the way YOU address tmobile customers on this forum?
an annoyed customer if I was one, would go to C. Relations as they are best placed to resolve any problems I have and root out and negate any negative causes of any said "sad" customer problems.

Just to clarify, I work for retail, not CS. And also, these are my own personal opinions, in my own personal time. How I am at home, is totally different to how I am at work, and I won't be judged by someone on a web forum, whether they claim to work for t-mobile or not.
