I plan to upgrade to the mda compact II with copilot and take up a flext 20 tariff. when i went into the Tmobile shop the chap told me it will be useless as i need web n walk to use copilot otherwise i will be charged for my gprs data usage. Is this true as the guy over the phone in at the tmobile UG dept never mentioned this when i discussed with him. please what is the real story anyone?
To use some co-pilot's features (co-pilot live traffic information ) you will need to connect via gprs, but this can be switched off.
As I have not used co-pilot much I dont know what other gprs traffic is used and as I have web & walk I dont monitor gprs data traffic.

thanks pav for the quick reply. are u saying if i use my mda II with CP for basic navigation from point A to B, it is free?
If you ring the co-pilot customer services details on the link below they should be able to confirm when a gprs connnection is required or have a look through their web site support.
