It's part of my job to interview people so I'll give you some advice:)

Usually in interviews they ask about you and your experiences and attributes, I dont think they expect you to know the role inside out as that's why you are going to the interview. Interviews are a 2 way thing, its so they can find out about you obviousyl but also so you can find out more about the role and company - ask lots of questions, they like that! Basic tip would be to go onto the "about us" section on the T-Mob site and find out a few key facts about the company as they will probably ask you what you know about them etc Also ask what prospects for development (like management/team leader roles) there are. Even if you dont want to be a manager it gives a better impression on them.

Hi mate,

I worked within TDMS before it moved "up north" and the role has changed lots since then. They do require LOTS of technical experience and this is where you should try to shine. The fact you have an interview shows they must believe you has some of this experience require but the role is so diverse as they deal with so many services. I suppose it really depends where you are looking to go within TDMS as they have different skill sets depending on experience and knowledge. Prob doesnt help that much but hope it helps a little....

Fingers x for you mate!! Yeah, let me know how it goes.

There are very good prospects within TDMS and with the new services coming out, there are more coming up all the time. We have had one guy come from TDMS to the SMC (service management centre, where we look after the network) and he then got promoted to elsewhere within the company.

The salary is completely different now to what it was when I was there. I was only on £16k but that that was about 3 years ago. I got made redundant but thankfully got my foot back in the door only a few months ago.

I work in Network Ops and one of our planners moved from TDMS to become a Cell Planner/Optimiser, so there are good prospects.
