This is frustrating to see that the Side Kick III (note Topic heading is not meant to read Iii BUT III) has just been launched to the mainstream in the USA.
How long before we see it in the UK? The new model will include the EDGE software which will allow faster browsing and access to MSN. Also includes Bluetooth??
Anyone have the inside on it???

Nothing as yet... I still love my sidekick 2... perhaps the only person in the country who does!

Good that youn are enjoying your sidekick 2 but i dont know if you can help me out of thi my dilema.I got a sidekick 2 bought for from the US but my local wireless provider SIM card is not recognised by the phone.Please how can u help me get the code to unlock the phone so that i can use the phone and catch the feel you are having with yours too.

Sorry mate, it won't happen. As far as I know sidekicks are pre configured to the network they come on. As a rule the only way to get an unlock code is from the provider that originally issued it. Even then I don't think there is anyway to change the settings on it to work on your network.

There are a s***load of handsets out in the UK that support Edge, but no network here offers an EDGE service. There's not much point in it as we have 3G which isn't as widespread in the US yet which is probably why EDGE is so popular there

im intrested to know when the T-mobile Sidekick 3 is out. i read somewhere that it will be out this side of Christmas.

I agree with you paw, i thought it was a great handset when it was first introduced but lack of support, knowledge and what it can actually do, let it down, to look back now it has the same calibre of services as blackberry and MS push, Paris Hilton used it, but dont know if that is a good thing or bad.

inside info mate.
retail staff got a newsletter briefing some of the up and coming handsets.
I dunno I spose its not 100 percent as that's all I've seen of it.
personally as a happy vario (one and two) owner all I had was trouble with the sidekicks. I hope the sidekick 3 fixes those.

Why oh why anyone would want a sidekick is beyond me. They have to be the worst handsets I have ever seen. Complete rubbish and there are far better handsets out there.

It just got confirmed the Sidekick III is now "coming soon" as per the Winter Web n Walk brochure.

The Sidekick 3 is now available on Tmobile - I've bene playing with one in work this morning and it's VERY addictive. Only downside is the camera - ok it's not terrible but a slightly disappointing 1.3mp.
