hy all! I have a problem with my v1050.When i use my phone's browser to stay on internet is working very fine but when i install a browser like Mini Opera or a simple instant messenger like MobiChat is not working.When i try to load a page in mini opera appears processing or when i open mobichat appears connecting... .What's the problem? I want to use java programs to navigate on internet or chatting on yahoo or msn.My phone is unlocked.I using it on Orange operator at profile GPRS.My phone still is locked???

I'm also very frustrated that the v1050 as configured by Vodafone doesn't allow java apps to access the web.

You said in another message that you were going to install the E1000 flex. Did you try this? If so, how did it go?

Well, I'm giving up on Motorola.

In order to try to enable access to the web from a Java app (eg Opera Mini), I rang their customer support here in Australia.

But they can't help on the phone, and they don't return calls when they promise to do so.

So, I try to install R26LD_U_83.39.1EI - first with RSD Lite v2.5, but this fails. Then I try upgrading the boot loader, but this fails as well.

So I try RSD Lite 2.7, but I get the same error messages.

I've wasted hours trying to make the phone work as it should have worked in the first place.

When is Motorola going to realise that it isn't in its interests to frustrate their customers' legitimate (and simple) needs?

I will sell this phone on eBay. Then I'll buy a different phone, based on research as to which is the best supported on the web. Grrrr....

i reinstalled v1050 from swisscom voda. And now is working mini opera and other programs .you have to set up very good your internet profile. Try and you will see.

I was experiencing de same problem,but now all application like opera r workin.u have to change a vlife settings.Copy vlife setting and addit them.

With this settings my mobile working with opera and another apps wich needs internet.
