Hi,

Is it possible to keep Pay & Go number when I go onto Pay Monthly?
If so, what would happen to the credit in my account?

Cheers

Yes, you can easily migrate your prepay number to a post pay account.

You may need a Porting Authorisation Code....where are you getting your contract from and what type of contract is it (eg online).

In most cases you need to use up your credit, again, it depends on your SPID etc.

I'm going to get my contract at either the O2 store, or onestopphoneshop.
What does SPID mean?

Cheers.

Your SPID is your Service Provider I.D. Even though O2 is your network, your service provider will have their own ID.

If you get your contract from an O2 store, they will arrange your PAC and migration for you. You will not be able to transfer your prepay credit though.

I'm not sure about onestopphoneshop, they might not be able to generate a PAC for you so you may need to contact customer services to arrange your migration.

Can I ask if you are currently an online (genie) prepay customer?

Thanks, that's much clearer :)
Now I know that I would have to finish up my credit first before getting a plan.

No, I bought my sim card from a high street shop.

No problem. :)

Once you've sorted your contract, organise your PAC with your provider and your prepay number will be transferred (free of charge) onto your contract SIM within 14 working days.

Hello,

Just like to correct one thing from the above, If you have credit on your O2 Pay&Go, and you port to O2 Pay Monthly at a O2 Store your credit left on your ay&Go is applied to your 2nd Monthly Bill,

if you are on o2 payandgo and want an o2 contract just tell them that you want to keep your payandgo number no problems there
