Virgin customer support must be the best i know. i was going to leave virgin because of the new Tmobile deals but I screwed up in unblocking my phone got the code wrong which rendered my phone permently blocked to virgin. So I rang up CS at 7pm asking is there a way to unblock my phone. The agent I spoke to was great she checked it out and found there was no way, so they (even though its my fault) said they will send out a replacment (im on payg NOT contract) then i can ring for another unblock code. My phone arrived at 845am the next day (just over 12 hours later). Brand New!

I mean that is what you expect for contract customer service not pay and go and esp my own fault! Because of that great service Im sticking with Virgin 10/10. Even though I was gonna leave them they still gave me the best service:laugh: well done virgin!

I can totally agree with those comments. This week I was thinking of switching to Vodafone (in order to get the Treo 750v handset) but Vodafone made a total hash of it! I was constantly transferred between departments, given duff information, and eventually they cancelled my order!

In contrast, Virgin were great. they gave me a PAC code within minutes, and later answered some technical questions I had about trying 3G on Virgin on a Sunday morning!

That level of service deserves some loyalty! As long as my (modest) data usage doesn't break the bank, I'll stick with Virgin.

Any tips on using 3G on Virgin, anyone?

The one drawback about using Virgin is the data charge which works out around £5 per MB. Whilst this is not excessive for standard PAYG data, most of the other networks have bundles, Virgin don't. The upside is that the rate is exactly the same when roaming in Europe, making them one of the best.
Also, most ports seem to be open so it's full access to the net.

So may tip is take it easy!

I agree they do have good CS. Having 3 different ways to pay is also an advantage

Don't agree with what? Virgin CS or Virgin data?

£5/mb ?? Good grief..

I'd have shelled out £500 so far this month at that price.

You would have shelled out £750 with Vodafone PAYG !

Some days I'm pleased to be with 3. This is one of them.

Virgin c/s is the best of the lot from my personal experience! orange second and wayyy behind is three...

every time i have had to call up virgin for whatever reason they have always been cheerfull and ready and willing to help....

orange (with the exception of the moto v500) again have always been really helpfull and there to help out should i need it (phone or billing questions!)

Three CS are OK, you just have to take it slow and go in with the assumption you may just have to keep dialing until you get Glasgow. ;)

very rare that i get through to glasgow...in fact only once and that was the first or second time i had to call them...since then i have always got india.....and they always seem to be reading from a script and never being 'proactive' rather they just read from a list and try and get me off the phone asap ok.
