I got my N80 today and its going back tomorrow. It's rubbish. The Camera, which is the only reason I got it is pants. It blurs all Images. I don't Have Wifi or Pnup ( Whatever it is) Devices.
Yes the screen is good, bit nothing special. Having to slide all the time is a pain. The Music is just the same as the 6680, My new fav phone.
Processor seems a bit better, but still says Memory full when I try to take snaps.

Overall,

Nothing ( For me New from 6680 ) and very expensive.

To think I signed an 18 month contract for it... Thank god for 14 days…

Really…

Think twice!

Also there is no apps yet......

Most Disappointed.

VGC

P.S any one want to buy a 2g card for N80???

Well I am most impressed with mine.
I think the N80 is designed with wi-fi in mind, while you will need an N73 if you want a good camera.

And for me, coming from a 7610 it is really good.

I love my N80. It's my new friend :)

Disappointed to hear that the phone wasnt what you wanted. But as you say the 14 days is a bit of a godsend, when you havent had chance to look at the device in the shops, and trial it a little so to speak.

I suppose it is easy for me to say this after the event, but I was never under the impression that this was the phone for people who purely wanted a phone like yourself (ie solely for photos)- it was the package of wi/fi, the screen, the advance on the N70, the slider which I liked compared to a non slider phone and a few other things.

Yes it has 3 mega pix but really that is a headline grabber that is only one component of what makes a decent camera phone - it doesnt have a shutter, no autofocus, and not a carl zeiss lens as well. In the reviews i read it was never up there as being the best camera phone and i think this is being shown by the comments gradually being made on this forum.

Blurred pics - yes, you shouldnt expect that; btw I did think a couple of my photos looked blurred on the N80 but when they were downloaded to my computer they were not.

BTW You may get some people asking to swap batteries before you send it back!!

Thats unlucky mate, obviously wans t what you were looking for, I would recommend the N73 then, N80 slimmed down with a superior camera.

How much you looking for, for the 2GB card? I may take it off your hands.

Mind you i doubt he'll like any phone for now :P

If you want camera go for the SHARP 903. It has 2X optical zoom. Craps over many upcoming cameras.

OMG! Just tried the web browser... Full web pages! It's the first time I have seen how crystal clear the screen is! It's amazing.. Perhaps I will give it a few days... What bugs me about Orange is data cost. On T-mobile its only £7.50 any one any ideas about the best deal for Orange Data?

WiFi is generally free, but some places in the UK will charge you access to their network.

Also, if WiFi isn't available, then usual phone data connection costs with the networks will apply :D

Yeah of course, you're paying for your Home Internet, and anything that connects through it is free.

Consider WiFi like Bluetooth, it's just a method of transferring data through the air, and so if you own both devices you don't pay any access fees.

(Hope I've described that ok)

Exactly. The phones some of the best features around. It just wasn't designed for the camera either.

The N73's res wont touch the N80, even though the screen is bigger.
