W800i unlcocking help please

Can anyone help me please.
I had a Sony ericsson k750i on a contract from vodafone via The Link, i put the phone in for repair and after 4 weeks i was told it was irrepairable so they issued me with a brand new w800i. After arriving home i put my vodafone sim card in, only to find the phone was on orange. The Link told me that thed have to send my new w800i away to be replaced by one on vodafone, but after so many weeks of being messed about by them i decided to get the phone unlocked myself. The phone was unlocked and i can now use the vodafone pay monthly contract sim card, but i cannot make calls or receive call, and all of the wap settings etc only have the choice of orange. Can anyone give me any help or advice??? it would be much appreictaed.

if you go to the website of your mobile sim provider they will text the settings free of charge, you click on install and bang all works. However when you swap the sim I think you will need to do this each time!!!

Have you tried ringing your miby provider and asking for their help. Failing that is it insured?

The phone needs to be unbranded. that will put the generic factory firmware on it.

I can do this for you if you want, as can alot of other users on the forum.

All you need to do then is load the gprs/mms settings from vodafones website and ya should be set.
