Hi

How did you get Mobile TV to work, when I click on the mobile tv menu item, I get the 3g video streaming page with the notification that my clip should start in 5 secs, then Real Player kicks off, and tries to connect, then I get an error saying unable to connect

I am initailly accessing using the Vodafone Live APN which loads the Vodafone Live web pages OK

I'm using a PAYG sim at the minute and can only access the web through WAP, when I try to get mobile tv it says to many applications open close vodafone wap ? so canot get mobile tv.
Have tried othe connections and cant connect because of packet data error, so will have to wait untill next week till my number ports accross to my new sim

gaxor, you should choose to use vodafone live! 3G connection instead of anything else

No worries mate! :)

Could I ask you a few questions if you don't mind.

Does your n80's battery cover rattles a bit (i.e. doesn't fit perfectly and moves when you press against it)

Does your slider move sideways? (2-3mm)

Many thx
Kevin

battery cover - no
Slider, I wouldn't say 2-3mm, but maybe 0.5mm

Hi I'm really new to all this, so forgive me for sounding 'thick'. i am a payg customer, and have recently started looking to get a 3G phone as i love the sound of getting sky TV packages thru your phone. i noticed that vodafone have this service, and according to their literature and an assistant at their store, it shoule work for vodafone payg customers. however, i dont like their payg 3G phone range, so i was hoping to get a sim free 3G phone (currently deciding between the N80, N91 or SE w900i) to do this. can this work?

Your vodafone payg sim will work fine with a sim free N80

I Couldn't get mobile tv to work on my PAYG vodafone sim and when I mentioned it to them they said it won't work on PAYG.
Now my number has ported across to vodafone I cant even get on vodafone live, have tried all the settings and so have they and so have CPW.
Just waiting for an engineer from vodafone to contact me to sort it out

i visited my local vodafone and told them that i plan to get a sim free compatible 3G phone to put a payg sim so that i can get their TV package, and the assistant said it'd be fine. contacted vodafone to double check, the reply was it probably wouldn't work. i contacted them again telling them that the reply seemed to differ between each vodafone rep, and i got another reply saying that it should work??? who do you believe?

I think you will be able to get it to work OK The settings are all available through forums like this one, or check on Nokia website as I think they can down load the settings to you
