T-Mobile 3G question please help

Hello all
I am already signed up on t-mobile web & walk tariffs, The phone i have is a MDA vario which i will soon sell for Nokia E61. The MDA vario has only gprs connections but Nokia E61 has UMTS, do i need to contact T-mobile and get a new Simcard?

If i get a simfree nokia e61, will my normal t-mobile simcard get 3g access?

Its probably a 3G USIM, I think I seen on here tha t-mobile are sending out USIMs as standard now. Have a look in SIM manager and check the SIM information to see if it gives you any clues as to the type of SIM you have, USIMs are usually larger capacity than the older non 3G compatible SIM, mine has room for 230 phone book entries and 20 SMS messages.
