W900i - Wont turn on, wont accept charge. Help!

Hi,
I've just recently been given a w900i as a present and was really chuffed. I was downloading music onto it from my laptop when the battery failed and the phone went blank. It no longer turns on at all or even accepts a charge! I am completely gutted. Does anyone know what I can do? I've asked the present buyer if they have a reciept but she isn't very hopeful! what options have I got? could it just be a battery blow out?
Any help would be really great.

What happens when you try to power it on? Do you get a white screen at all? First thing to try: remove the battery for a few minutes. Reinsert. Charge it at the mains and leave it for 20 - 25 minutes.

Daft as that sounds, I've seen eslewhere online where this has been the case and doing that has resolved it. If that doesn't work. It might be a firmware issue. In which case you'll need to flash it via Davinci Team. But try the battery removal thing first.

Thanks for the reply. When I try and power on nothing happens at all. The screen is not on at all ~(no white screen) and it doesn't appear that the battery is charging when plugged into the mains charger. It's really frustrating the hell out of me. I've ordered a new battery just in case but i've a horrid feeling its completely knackered.

It won't appear that the battery is charging if the firmware is knackered. It will charge though - just that you won't get any indication that this is happening. You'll need to charge it up fully just in case (in the worst case scenario) you need to re-flash it.

Although, if you've ordered another battery you might as well wait for that to come just to see if that is the cause of the problem.

Please forgive me for my technical ineptness, but how do I go about flashing my phone? Apologies. what exactly is flashing the phone?

Football if you are in the north west area.

Id be willing to flash your phone (save you buying credits on da vinci), i live in wrexham near chester.

Have a crusier and a setool2 kit so can repair broken phones and flash them.

I can debrand it at the same time if its a vodafone one.

Hmm if it turned off halfway through the transfer cud have been a usb short. Does the usb port still work on the PC.

thanks for the offer but i'm in the SW area. I'm not sure how I could flash the phone if it does not turn on at all and the pc won't recognise the mobile when plugged in. The phone will not turn on at all, not even a white screen. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I got tools aswell to repair phone as well. debrand and Unlocking at the same time.

You need to go and investigate da vince team's flashing software it's really quite simple to use.

yo i gotta say thanx for the help but i found out the rerason why it happend... what it is, i replacd the battery with a new battery n it jus workd... the specialist said it was becoz the battery cells got fryd or somthin... but i gotta thank god it wrkin...
