o2 N80

Can anyone confirm that, like most handsets on o2, the N80 is unlocked on o2? Also, is it acually a phone provided by o2, or is it a generic version?

No networks have released it yet so it will be unlocked

i got my N80 on O2 delivered on Saturday and it is definately unlokced / Sim free. I ported my number when i placed the order but the transfer doesn't complete until the 12th so i've been using it with my '3' sim card.

The phone is MINT! a lot better than i thought it would be, i cant falut it any way. the camera is superb.

Ordered it from onestopphoneshop on the friday and got it next day!

I got the impression that there was only a few left though, the guy on the phone had to go and ask someone if i could have one!?!?!

You are lucky. I ordered mine from there last Wed on orange. I ordered on orange cos they have good 3g signal here in Cornwall. They said it was in stock, then got e mail saying it wasn't. I have not cancelled my order as others have though.

I ordered one on orange 2 weeks ago, and got told it would come on the 3rd, then the 8th, then the 15th...so i cancelled it and ordered one with someone else only for the same thing to happen again. In the end i went to o2.

Conseqeuntly when i called them up they told me they weren't expecting any N80s on Orange until June!

Oh well, I will have to wait. The coverage on o2 is good here but there is no 3g coverage with o2. Only orange have good 3g coverage in my area and voda are getting there. I don't like voda as their tariffs don't suit my needs. I'd rather get a generic version on orange than a branded one.

The reason they are selling it on O2 is because they can sell in unbraned. On Orange, it should be branded, so they are obviously waiting for the stock from Orange. So it could be anytime...
