Hello.

I have recently signed up for a flex account.

Having discussed this with someone else on orange they claim they have two sims on the same account.
The idea being, one sim is in their phone and the other they have in a datacard so that they can use the web allowance they have on the account with their computer.

Having telephoned visited a t-mobile shop and been told in person that getting a duplicate sim IS possible and to buy a PAYG sim, call 150 and have it attached to the account and have it configured as a duplicate for the main sim I desided to buy a PAYG sim, the same girl advised; dont buy it here for £14.99 buy it online for £2 including delivery, so this is what I did and now I'm awaiting delivery.

In the mean time a couple of days ago I telephoned 150 and spoke with customer services to find out if it really is as simple as it sounded and had it confirmed that YES it is possible to get the sim duplicated all I need to is when the new PAYG sim arrives call 150 and they will ask for the sim number (not he telephone numer?) and attach it to the account and award it with the web'n'walk allowance on the account. I was warned obviously I will not be able to use it to make calls though, so not to bother trying to use it with a telephone.

I've got a datacard on its way (Thanks ebay), but it all sounds far too easy.

Has anyone actually done this ?, is it as simple as it sounds?

Thanks.

Mik.

hi there
i know what you are trying to do, but cs have mis understood you, its most definettly not possible, cs think you are replacing the sim and wanting to add the payg number to the account, tmob does do a multi sim only available to business customers though

A pay as you got sim card, attatched to a contract account is not possible. You didnt need to buy a data card. You could have got it for free. T-mobile offer data card "web n walk professional plans" There is a contract commitment involved, but your knocking out 1.8mbs.

A pay as you got sim card, isnt going to offer the service you talked about - i think customer services have mis-understood exactly what you wanted.

Apologies if I should have started a new thread - but I'd like to know if its possible to have two sims connected to one WnW account. I'm hope for the chunky Vario III when it comes out - but also a slinky Moto (or similar) on the same number - when I'd prefer not to have a bulge in my pocket!!

Is this possible?

Not as far as i'm aware at least that's the response I got when I asked a similar question

Simple answer is no. Each WnW is linked to a given number.

In one word..

No
