No Shutter sound when taking pics

anyone else have a problem when taking pics . the shutter sound doesnt appear. if you go to settings you can choose between 4 sounds for the shutter. i have tried to no avail to get it to make the sound

i phoned nokia care line and they tried a n80 and it made a shutter sound . i asked if i did a #7370# if that would make a difference , but sed i may have a faulty handset (bummer)

i asked them what firmware they had and sed v 306.14.0.1 30/03

my firmware is v3.0614.0.3 11/04 (newer version)

to find firmware type *#0000#

can other people try theres and post comments

in my box i didnt get a sd adapter did anyone else get one from the cpw

also found it does not play m4a tracks either but mp3 and aac no problem

Shutter sound works ok on my Nokia N80...Could well be a duff handset..does everything else seem to work ok?

i have found out that my shutter sounds works on the outdoor profile , but when i have changed back to the general profile it doesnt make the sound.

can you tell me what settings you have in your general profile thanks

In my general profile although not personalised yet i have - Nokia Ring Tone, Nokia video tone, Off for say callers name, ringing for ringing type, message 1 for message alert tone, email alert for email alert tone, vibrating alert is on, keypad tone level 1, warning tones are on, alert for all calls.
