Well, got mine up and running,
Very impressed! Beats the N70 & N90 hands down, only gripe is I have to buy another memory card for it, as the N80 uses MiniSD. Not DV RSMMC.
Wireless LAN well, if you got an Open AP you will be up and running in no time, because mine is secured takes a little longer, but have been surfing through my 10mb connection fine.
Contacts all synch'd over, Content Copier did not work, refuses to see my N90 backups.
I got a feeling the silver one is going to scratch, so am keeping the plastic covers on the screen until I get a case for it.
Now need to get it paired and running with my Parrot CK3100.

Hi,
Okay to get the N90 to connect to a secure WLAN
Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access points
Press Options
Select New access Point
Then configure the connection from here. Once configured, you can access it by clicking Services from the main menu. I have configured my phone to prompt for an Access Point everytime I launch a connection , otherwise it defaulted to O2 WAP GPRS

Services is the WAP Browser
For the new Nokia browser, use the Web icon on active standby or in the 'My Own' Folder
That way you can leave services to default to O2 (or Vodafone in my case) and the WEB browser to your Wlan

I can't get Vodafone live to work properly let alone mobile TV, once the handset is officially released on Vodafone, Vodafone live etc will be updated to work with the N80

Oh well looks like I'll have to go with orange then. Never used Orange before so we'll give it a go.
Been trying to get mobile tv to work on my 6630 and now they say it's a software problem. The girl look rather embarced when I said so you sold me a phone with dodgy software

Give it a month and mobile TV will work fine on Vodafone, it was the same when the 6680 and then N70 were released, once the handset is formally released it will work.
Orange is ok if you can live with the crappy homescreen, I can't so I'll stick with vodafone

the N80 are all sim free at the moment as none of the networks have released them so the home screen is not an issue

SIM free does stop certain features from working though.
For example I dont think Orange TV will work.

I recently bought the N80! I got the black one from Ebay and it was shiped from Austria. Im not stupid, so i got it from a registered Ebay Power Seller (also registered shop/business).
I got the phone today complete, brand new and with reciept/Nokia Warranty.
I Couldn't help but switch it on and was relieved to find it faster than N70 in operation!
Here is my problem which i hope spmeone can help me out with.
The 'On' button stopped working-im very upset-the phone is now charging as normal but will not switch on at all even when i took battery out and back in-before i take it to Nokia Repair Centre, do you guys have any idea why this might happen?
People with N80, have you experienced this?....

Yeah sure- its: phone-box-linz-urfahr. They are based in Linz/Austria-i checked again and they are registered as a Business Seller (not power seller,sorry)-they have over 660 feeddback at 99% positive.
I must say that there service was spot on-they have a Shop too which have a telephone number that i called. Only the Manager speaks English. He told me it was a final version and his shop dont sell proto-types or pre-release. It comes with full reciept too for Warranty (Full Euro Warranty). It arrived within 2 days using Austrian National post with online tracking (thier website can be chosen in English too). As usual it was this side that messed up delievery (bloody parcel force!) and i made a journey to thier lovely depo...
Phone was well packaged brand new-I got it for £480 as i was only one who put down bid-the buy it now is £500 i think..
Not bad as i got a 8800 for £70 on upgrade (sold it for £370)-i was going to get an Ipod but insted used it to get this lovely N80.
Its covered under warranty for sure-i could send it back to Austria but not bothered as i was told by Nokia Care they can fix it or replace it here under the Euro Warranty-i just wonder how long it will take if i hand it over tommorow?....

Did anything else stop working? Or is it only Orange TV?

Vodafone Mobile TV worked fine on my Sim Free N70, Orange Mobile doesn't work on Sim Free phones because Orange use their own media player instead of the default Realplayer.

Just the orange tv. I tried to download it several times since, it wont install says certificate invalid. Think it is tied up to the orange software on the phone that is no longer there. I downloaded rok tv, its good but will end up having to pay data charges to orange. 4 minutes viewing = 1mb. Therefore can work out expensive. The rok tv you can get full screen, you need to turn the phone sideways to view(like a mini widescreen), streaming is much better. I wont be using it though was doing the sums ...... expensive in data charges

Does that mean you can't watch Orange TV in fullscreen landscape view? I thought that was the whole point of TV on a mobile. why make the screen any smaller than it has to be?! lol
