Unlocking Sony Ericsson V800

Hey hows everyone going does anybody know how to unlock a sony ericsson V800? I think that may be the problem because I can't access the 3g network on Vodafone NZ I bought from a parallel importer shop, thank you

does the phone accept your sim card? if so it does nto need unlocking if it comes up with an error saying sim rejected or something like that it does need unlocking. The v800 is quite easy to unlock-most independant mobile shops should offer the service for a small fee

Cool thanks for the advise, my phone does accept my cellphone but I can't access the 3g wap section on the vodafone wapsite

ah i know what your problem is- your phone needs to be debranded and have the correct settings for vodafone NZ put on it this is due to the phone being set up for the voda network to where is was intended on working. Again take the phone to the shop but ask them to debrand it am i right in assuming that you can make calls and texts?

Hi Mate,

I got got my V800 from Oz and had the same problem, go here http://wireless.vodafone.co.nz/ota.cfm and it will txt the settings direct to your phone, no need to pay the stores!

I have a Sony Ericsson V600i and got it from Vodafone but I switched Meteor a few days ago and depsite the SIM working fine the phone doesnt seem to accept it. Well it half does! It says "no access to network" on the screen yet I can recieve txts from time to time and calls but I cannot answer the calls as they are put straight into my mailbox as if my phone was turned off. I can't send texts either....

I unlocked the phone but still this is happening....?

Any idea of what I should do?

hi every one
i had to get my phone that was on vodaphone unlocked so i went in the store and they gave me the code to unlock it so give that a g o and it might work
