Hi,
I have just bought a secondhand 6680 on Orange, it came with a PAYG Orange sim, the box shows a different phone number so I guess the guy I bought it from has kept his Orange contract sim and just supplied a PAYG one, but the IMEI number matches the phone.
I called Orange yesterday and asked for the phone to be unlocked, explaining that I have just bought the phone. The guy was very helpful, he asked for the IMEI number and the sim number (I don't know the phone number of the sim) and he said it would cost me £20 to have it unlocked and could take anything from a week for the unlocking department to get intouch with me, I thought ok no probs.
Today I get a call from the same guy at Orange and he said the unlocking department need either my home address or my email address. At the time I didn't think to ask why. So my question is, is this normal practice by Orange or have I got something to worry about ?
