Hi all, I hope someone can help. I recently got two T-Mob 6280s, one for me and one for missus. We could both videocall each other and receive calls from offnet no bother while we were on the temporary T-Mobile numbers that came with the phones.

After porting in our numbers however I can't receive video calls from anyone, on or off net. I can make video calls without bother and my number shows up on the other end. The missus' phone is fine receiving or sending video calls!

I've been going round in circles trying to get someone in customer services to fix it but as soon as you mention video calling they run away and hide! Please, anyone in T-Mobile CS reading this, help!!

Try getting your wife to video call the original t-mobile number you had and see if that's still attached to your phone for video calling.

Hi there, has your number ported over in the last 7 days?

I thought I was the only one this was happening to. I too lost my incoming video calling when I ported my number to t-mobile. Like you I can video call someone else.

I contacted t-mobile who asked my to note exact times and postcodes of attempted calls in at least 5 instances. I did this over a couple of days and rang them back with the information.

I received a call today to let me know that the problem should have been resolved and it should now be working, but guess what ?? It's not.

I have to admit that I found the technical team very helpful when I finally got through, but I am really keen to get this problem resolved.

Please let us all know is you get any resolution.

buckie: number was ported in last Tuesday (so 8 days ago now).

As jameshutchison states the (i'm guessing 2nd line) technical team seem to be more much useful than the phone answering monkeys. They also wanted to know specific times/postcodes of failures, unfortunately they tried to contact me on my work number over the bank holiday weekend (and it's not like they don't have my mobile number ffs!).

What I don't understand is why the missus's number port worked fine and mine didn't - we both moved over from Orange.

Waiting for a call back to continue the process....

Since writing the above, I have now discovered that I can send video calls to anyone on any network and can receive video calls from a friend on Vodaphone, but not from my friends on T-MOBILE !!! My Network.

It was suggested that it was a handset problem, but I confirmed that I had tried my SIM in two other handsets and both allowed me to make calls but not receive them from T-Mobile callers.

It therefore seems to me that the fault lies somewhere in the T-Mobile network.

Hello again, Its not handset related as you have stated above, sounds network, has your orange sim fully de-activated since porting, and this may sound simple but are both vidcallers got 3g icon displayed on front screen (dependent on handset) when making the vid call, what error message is displayed, does it ask to go to voice call. If you could give a postcode would be very helpful, doesnt have to be exact location but within at least 4 miles, if you could give both sender and reciever post codes, if you are in the same location also counts, let me know
