hi
i have been reading rumors about the n80 not being able to use some files because of drm?
will i be able to recieve any audio from bluetooth or infrader or even from my usb cable?
will i be able to use mp3s as ringtones?
are there any other let downs on the phone concerning what will work according to drm?
cheers

DRM will be a pain in the ass only if you have some songs that you do not have a licience for. Even then there are simple ways to remove DRM.
If you have legal, paid for songs, this won't really bother you.

what about songs ripped (legaly) from CD to the computer for listening to on the phone? Ive no idea about DRM, if it just stopped files been sent on that would be fine, but i want to be able to listen to my own collection without hassle!

hmm, so it is illegal to press the buton on itunes to copy my cd to the computer for use on my ipod or phone? something itunes activly encourage! (http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/overview/)

not according to http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6277.cfm

back to what will and wont be possible with the DRM on the N80:

Nokia has made it very simple to get your existing digital music library onto the handset. The N80 is recognised as a mass storage device when connected to your PC via USB 2.0 and it’s a simple procedure of drag and dropping your files into the relevant music section window (http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/April2006/2956.htm)

hopefully the DRM will just kick in if you try to bluetooth files to your mates like it does with .sis files at the moment.

well if you cant blue tooth mp3's because of drm the same will go for mpeg's aswell, so all those files you exchange at work with your mates are out of the window

Digital Rights Management can be a pain in the arse but a lot of phones have already had this for ages. 3 definitely use it (hence why you cant send most of the content downloaded from 3), and I have noticed that with some phones if you bluetooth something to them, then DRM gets set on that phone and whatever it is cant be sent on. Its to stop content sellers from loosing money from freely distributed content.
