Vodafone is offering a months free subscription to the mobile tv. Which one offers the free footie clips that i have been reading about on this forum? I am stuck between the choices as one has sky sports and the other has a champions leauge channel! Or am i barking up the wrong tree, and it is part of the Live! service???
All help appreciate for a 3g soon to be noob!

Hi UnworthyPapaLaz
The Vodafone Mobile TV bundles are below
Bundle 1 – Sky News & Sports at £5
• Sky News, CNN, Bloomberg, Sky Sports News, At the Races, Discovery Factual, National Geographic, History Channel
Bundle 2 – Sky Music & Ents at £5
• Sky One, MTV Snax, Living TV, Paramount Comedy, Bravo, Cartoon Network, Nickleodeon, Discovery lifestyle, Sky Movies, Biography channel
Bundle 3 – Vodafone Variety pack at £3
• Channel 4, HBO Mobile, Chilli TV - Extreme Sports, Fashion TV, British Eurosport, UEFA Champions League football, GMTV
Instead of paying for them all separately, you can get the whole lot for £10 a month.
You’ve even got an online programme guide to tell you when programmes start!!
You don’t really need mobile TV to get the footie goals. You can just visit the football section on Vodafone Live! The first month is free!
Let me know what you think.

Looks so much better than orange who originally started the mobile tv thing. Orange tv line up is awful. I'd move to voda for the tv packages but failed their credit check. My mum tried to get one with voda and her credit record is exemplory and she was turned down by them. So stuck with orange. hope their tv package improves soon

I agree that vodafone have the best TV offering. I think 3's is worse than Orange's though. They both use mobiTV. What does vodafone use?

Vodafone use their own system for mobile TV which requires no download of software, it simply uses the phones built in media player.

Sky mobile.com part of the sky website is very misleading. It suggests that any one from any network can download and install the application, which is true. To be able to get you need sports or movies. So I upgraded my sky package (which I did recently to view sky by broadband only to be disappointed so down graded again), only then to find out to use the tv part of the downloaded package (there is weather etc you can access to read a bit like teletext) you have to be on vodafone 3g. I was not amused.

3 also use their own system for viewing some of the TV channels and there the best too in my opinions! MobiTV is still available on 3 but I tried it and I didn't quite find it good enough, especially when it hung for half a second to a second and then continued from the same spot, suggesting me that it was actually the end of the MobiTV client and nothing to do with any of the network, phone or signal.
