Well now you can. If your a sky digital subscriber you can get sky TV on your mobile! Just visit sky.com and click on products and services, and then sky by mobile.
Im trying to get it to work, but it doesnt seem to be working with my unlocked V3x.

It says that you still need to be a Vodaphone customer for it to work.

Nope. This is under the FAQ:
Are all networks supported?
At this time, all mobile networks support connections to Sky by mobile.
I wonder if this is 3 aswell?

Well its free if you are subscribed to sky digital, so anyone who has a three phone and sky may aswell give it a try if your phone is supported (N70, N90/91, 6280 (I think), V3x, E1000).

had a look at their site says you need to have access to gprs or 3g internet which in 3's case would mean having the wireless web data bundle in place

The website is here http://www.sky.com/skybymobile/home
You probably need to have the web add on or wireless web becuase it says this:
You'll need to have a compatible handset with internet access via GPRS or 3G.
Yes 6630 and 6680 work fine, forgot to mention them.
When I try with my V3x, it doesnt seem to work and says "Your handset is not compatible with Sky mobile" even though its on the list of handsets?

What you have to do is go to www.sky.com and click on the Sky By Mobile section, you have to register for the service which is free if you're a Sky Subscriber to at least one premium channel, then it sends a text to yor mobile with a link to download the software to your handset!!

I have Nokia 6630 Mobile Phone. I get the Mobile Websites add-on on Three pay-monthly. I am a member of Sky. Can I get it to work, to get the Mobile TV to work?

It shouldn't, you have to have the wireless web, but i guess it worth a try!!

Its a real shame. I tried to put it on my N91 (on the sky website says its compatible) but it doesnt install as I assume its not 3rd edition software (if it was, they would have the N80 on the compatible list aswell).
Ok well, im sure they will have it in due course.

When I tried to get it on my orange n70 a few weeks back I could get the bit that was like teletext with all info, weather news etc, but not sky tv. I struggled with it for ages and going back to the website on my PC. I sussed in the end to get the tv application you neede to be a voda customer. It kept directing me to a vod live link to subscribe to the tv bit.
I do think it is unfair, and the site is misleading. If you subscribe to the channels, why should one operater have total power over who can watch it on their mobile

It is unfair, I personally think that if you are a sky customer already, you should be able to access sky on your 3g mobile for free! not have to pay a second fee for being able to watch TV on your mobile, surly sky could come up with a customer pin code login to access it's mobile TV via their mobile portal.
What next - BBC mobile TV licence!

It probably does work with vodafone but the service offered by vodafone is much better then this, so I doubt vodafone users will prefer to use this.

Hi All,
Although you can have Sky By Mobile and not subscribe to Vodafone Mobile TV, you may be charged for the data transfer as you're connecting to a 3rd party portal.
If you watch a 5 minute clip, it may prove to be expensive.
Vodafone's Mobile TV is on the Vodafone portal therefore free. You'll just have to pay for the subscription for the TV.
I hope this helps.

Eh think it does, either that or my 6680 isn't working!!!!! :)
Although I only use certain parts of application.

The application works on Three (using Mobile Web Sites addon - NOT Wireless Web!). You can't watch the TV channels though.
But.... you can use the new TV guide which lets you send a signal to your Sky+ box to record a program remotely!! Rather cool I thought!!
The Sky website does mention that it is only Vodafone for the moment and that they will be expanding the mobile TV to other networks. Patience ;)
(It's understandable paying an extra subscription to watch this really, simply because of the amount of data you will be using to view the channels).

I'm about to try and do this but before i do, for those who currently use the service is it free to browse the 'teletext' style data? Also i'm a vodafone customer, so would it be free to watch the TV as i am an existing sky customer? any help greatly appreciated. thanks
