hi,
sorry if this sounds daft, but could someone please give me some info about flext?

* How does the payment work? will i only ever pay the £35 monthly fee for flext 35? i dont have to worry about posting bills to get £180 cash back?

* When can i change my phone/tariff if i have an 18month contract? am i still able to change the phone/flext tariff after 12months?

* If i go to a t mobile store will i get a better choice of phones than what is on the website?

* does anyone know when the nokia n80 be in stores, and will it be on flext?

thanks for your help,

jay

I can only give you some help in respect of your question, others may be able to give you more.

How does the payment work? the line rental for this is £35 pounds per month, for this you get £180 pounds of value to spend on Voicecalls to any network at any time, text messages or MMS messages.outside this allowance (ie if you spend all of the £180 worth) costs are 20p for calls 20p for mms and 10p for text.

If you were to use your vaule for calls only you would get 900 mins, or you could get 750 mins and 300 text message. Currently t-mobile are giving you 25% off line rental for life so your monthly charge is approx £27 pounds.

I cant advise when you can upgrade or when the N80 will be out, but i understand there will be new handsets on t-mobile in June, The question you need to answer is , do I take a mobile and pay 27 pounds per month or wait for the n80 and pay £35 pounds per month.

You can also buy a web and walk add on for £7.50per month which will permitt you to suff the net from your handset only, int other words you can not use your handset with a laptop. it is subject to fair use, but at £7.5 permonth is cheaper than any other network

The first hyperlink here will let you see the plans and what you can do for your £180 pounds of vaule if you go for flext 35: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?menuid=plans_flext_get&chosenPricePlan=pmt

The second link shows what hand sets there are: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?nmid2=ctl_pas_pp_details&nmid=pas_pp_plan_ews_details&menuid=ctl_pas_pp_change_plan&ppid=903&pf=Flext+plans

I understand the offer of 25% off line rental will only be untill 30th April, but maybe one of the guys from t-mobile will confirm. I hope this helps.

I have another question on the flext tarrif, can you use your monthly allowance on international calls and roaming or can you only use it up in the same way that the other networks free minutes work?

I dont work for t-mobile but my uderstanding is you can only use them in the UK, but you can add on worldclass which offers cheraper calls while overseas.

You need to ask yourself how often you go over seas, and if it would work out cheaper to buy a overseas sim card. Very few pepole user their mobile overseas, due to the price.

i have to agree solo, when i was working in holland it was cheaper for me to buy a pre-pay tmobile sim card than it was to use my old o2 phone.

Decided to go ahead and order an MDA pro on flext35 with web'n'walk. T-mobile have a very confusing online ordering system, I was able to get it for £69.99 by going for web'n'walk first then select the flext35 package, but by going through flext first and then adding web'n'walk further along the line but before checkout it would have cost me £99. Glad I messed about a bit before checking out.

Shuflie

I spotted this the other day, Im holding out untill the 19 to see what else ons offer as I understand there may be a web and walk add on with a 2GB limit for the pro, that permits you to use mobile as a moden?

I'm not really interested in using the phone as a modem so the current web'n'walk is fine for me. All I really want to do when I'm out and about is to check email and maybe browse a few websites, with a VGA screen backed up by PIE's ability to render for a smaller screen the MDA pro will replace a laptop nicely.

Will do, probably won't get it until Wednesday evening though. I called the sales line this morning (amazingly got through with no wait, not bad for Good Friday) to find out if they had processed my order. I'd cleared the credit checks and the girl I spoke to said she'd process the order right away but that the couriers wouldn't collect until Tuesday. Have to stick with my A1000 for a bit longer then :)
