Does anybody know if a special icon comes up on your phone 6680 or n70 when you are using Edge ?

It does come up on some. I think the Samsungs have an E instead of a G

AFAIK Edge will work with any phone that supports it. The 6021 should be ok

Edge is slowly being rolled out, it's currently London area only.

I have the field test app for my 6630, and it reports that EGPRS support (or the equivalent term) is 1.
In other places near here, it's 0, so it's not a phone thing.
Does this mean I can get EDGE? I notice GPRS is a bit faster but that might be a placebo effect.

I am in Mid Cornwall.

EGPRS means that your phone supports EDGE. Your phone will automatically use EDGE if the base station you are using supports EDGE. So expect faster downloads in areas with EDGE. :)
