Well I recived my nokia 6280 this morning.
Having not liked the phone since I saw a picture of it for the first time, I wasnt relly sure what to expect. The only nokia phone I have had is a 6680, so quite different.
I felt (from the pictures ive seen of it) that it was just a remake of the 7650 which I apsolutely hate with a passion.
Ok, the package arrives and as I open it up, my first impessions are how small it is. I am very impressed with the size.
I put my simcard in and the large, crisp 262k sceen spang to life. This was another thing I wasnt expecting. I didnt think the screen would be as large as it acually was.
I entered the time and date, and I felt the buttons were, well, plasticy. Everytime I touched them they creeked, but that might just be my one (as it is secondhand).
I start up the camera and take a few shots. They quality was average, not amazing. Took a video and found that the quality was poor. So, I went into the gallery and found that the video was only 300kb and the pictures were only 100kb each? I went into the settings and found that the settings were not at top quality.
I switched all the settings onto high and best, and away I went.
Well, what can I say. The quality of the photos are like ive never seen before on a phone (well this is my first 2MP phone after all). The videos were breathtaking quality.
Overall, I was impressed with the built of the phone. The slider is springloaded for easy opening and it even has a little bar what helps you push the screen upwards. However, like I said earlier, the buttons wernt as good as they appear.
I am happy with my 6280 (apart from the fact that it is locked to three ofcourse, as I would ideally like to use it on o2). The camera is good, nice design, small and good quality build.
There will be pictures to follow shortly.
