I need to know if 3G affects orange tariffs

I wanted to know if getting a PAYG 3G phone off orange will effect the costs of the normal texts and call charges. If so what are the differences and how much would texts and calls be with 3G on orange.

I read somewhere that PAYG data usage was charged at 55p per Mb. Is that true?

Ringing an Orange 3g phone cost the same as ringing an ordinary 3g phone.
As far as data is concened there are a number of packages - but again they are roughly in line with 2.5g

It is a shame as the whole point of the 3G network more capacity, hence lower costs per user and higher bandwidth yet they are trying to squeeze more out of the data users by charging the same as 2.5g.
