Vodafone Contract Help

Hi, I bought a Nokia N70 today from Phones 4U, signing an 18 month contract in store starting today (though my phone is still waiting for my Orange number to be transfered so I can't use it properly). I was wondering what my rights are with regards to cancelling the contract. I know that internet/catalogue purchases are entitled to a 7 day cooling-off period within which they can cancel the contract. Is this the same for in-store purchases, since the phone has already been registered?

If you could answer as soon as possible I'd appreciate it, since the 7 days is already 6.

Vodafone (retail) have a 14 day money back policy, im not sure if that changes because you got it from phones4U.

Phones4U in my experience are not too good, twice a friend of mine was sold a handset that had been used by someone else (had entries in phonebook). An ex employee also told me that they would often re box faulty stock and re sell?? I dont know how true that it though.
