Hi
I've two problems:
1) I can't access the Sky TV. I get a page saying:
! - msisdn Not Available!
The system is unable to display your request, please try again later.
2) I can't download Premiership clips. I get an error message saying "CAE 500".
The customer service team are absolutely useless, has anyone on here experienced any of these problems?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Re the CAE 500 error, I started receiving that when I messed about with the original access point settings. I think i downloaded them from Nokia.
Of course I phoned Voda and they were clueless and said network trouble. This went on for about 8 days until I hard reset the phone, desperate I know, but it worked.

Thankyou berrymwb!. A hard reset has sorted it all out, brilliant.
Thanks again so much. The monkeys at Vodafone thought the problem was an old (small capacity) SIM card!

how do you hard reset the phone?

Happy to be of help.
Hard reset is *#7370#
Back all contacts up - a full back up of apps backs up access points and a subsequent restore tends to bring back the original problem. Be patient, it takes a while and make sure you have a decent charge in your battery.

Just to help anyone else that might have this problem.
I think what was wrong with mine was that I had chosen "delete oper. settings" when I was messing around with the phone, plus I think I'd messed around with the access point settings.
After copying my contacts to my data card (and SIM card as a backup), a full hard reset worked. Fantastic stuff.
Cheers

are only my contacts that i have to save to my data card?? or something else?? sorry im a bit new to this:o , do i have to take out my data card and sim card before i reset?? and after i reset what do i do?? do i have to reconfigure my N70 with the network settings?? ei: download the settings from the nokia website. Sorry i know its a lot of questions but i also "deleted oper. settings"... so its strange coz at times i can see the sky tv:) but other times it keeps saying unable to connect server time-out or somting like that. and also to send mms is like playing the lottery, you never know when or if they are sent. smtime they are somtime they r not. really weird!!!
i'll appreciate any kind of help coz as you know the voda cs, they are ok, but not that helpfull this time.
thanks

The monkeys at Vodafone thought the problem was an old (small capacity) SIM card!
The monkeys at Vodafone don't know jack-sh*t!!!
Example:
I saw the press release about Mobile TV on the BBC News website on Monday. When I got home from work I phoned Vodafone up to quirey this, because I thought it strange that I (as a Vodafone 3G customer) hadn't been told about this forthcoming, exciting new service. The girl I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about!!! I ended up reading her the whole article and she didn't know anything about it. She put me on hold, whilst she spoke to her superviser/manager....but he didn't know anything about it either!!!!
This was the day before it's release!!!!

Well, I've come to the conclusion that the 3G services and coverage are so dire, that I've turned the 3G option off in my phone. I now get 2-3 times the battery life and save money too!
My phone is brand new and I've not mucked about with the Internet settings, so there is no reason for LiveTV not to work, other than a rubbish service. If Vodafone can't be bohtered to tell me about the services, and I can't even use them, then they won't be getting any more of my cash!

Save your contacts to memory card. You need to do this in the contacts menu. Then take out the memory card, no need to remove sim.
If you back up the phone in the 'memory' menu then restore you will get your original problems back.
If you hard reset it will restore your vodafone access points automatically if it was a voda phone. Your firmware has been altered by voda to achieve this.

To add to berrymwb's help, to copy the contacts you go into phone book>mark>all. Then goto copy>to card.
Hope this helps

thanks guys i have just done it and it looks like more responding than before. for instance when i try to send mms the connection in the connec.manager drops as soon as the sent bytes gets to 64KB. i think this is voda foult tempering with nokia settings giving limitation to the phone:( , but, listen to this, if i am connected to vodafone live and i simply browse or if im luky watch some free tv, the mms are sent.  weird ehh?? its definetly voda foult in tempering with the nokia settings:o i dont understand why my connection are so erratic and not constant. by the way after i hard reset the phone the Symantec security was gone, disappeared. not that i think was working or anything. so now im using fs antivirus...
hopefuly the wap connection will become more stable in the near future.

so far so good. things are getting better, im able to access live tv, send mms but only if im connected on the voda live. the default access points seems to have done the trick.

A Soft Reset is taking the battery and SIM out of your phone and putting it back together.
A hard reset re-installs the phones software and network settings as they were out of the box.
