NTT DOCOMO phones

Hi, I am just wondering if it would be possible to purchase a NTT Docomo phone in Japan and use an O2 sim with it now that O2 has introduced 3G and i-mode, because I can get a Sharp SH901iC for pretty cheap.

NO.

Japanese phones, such as the Sharp SH901iC on the NTT DoCoMo network work on a PDC protocol - not compatible with UK.
If you can get hold of a phone on the Vodafone network in Japan - it *should* work in UK - just need to check if it has GSM and works with a sim card.
