Just posted this on Vodaphone 3G Forum but perhaps would have been better here - my thread details the Elan Digital U132 Adaptor

Read the thread as you can't have one yet !!
Have re-posted on this sub forum as probably better place.

Just announced at CommunicAsia its HSDPA 3.6mbps (category 5/6)
I guess it will only be commercially avaiable in Q4 2006.
There is also another version from Korea - its using modules made by Sierra Wireless. But this suppport HSDPA 1.8mbps (category 11/12) only.

I have used the korean product before and it works fine.

Hi all
Im new to the 3g card thing but have recently signed up for the TMobile web&walk packge.
but when i recieved my card i found it fouled with mt Targus defcon fingerprint card so i brought one of the ELAN U132 usb adapters.
but be warned so far my card has not been accepted by the adapter and i have tried all the fixes on Elans web site
so if youve got a TMobile card (option gt fusion) the adapter may not work for you :(

www.infoferenda.com (http://www.infoferenda.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=5&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2) has several solutions for this in their webshop - I dont know if there only selling to swedish customers... worth a try.
ive got the external usb-adapter for my dell, works perfekt.

Came across this thread looking for produts. Found
http://www.inmac.co.uk/catalogue/item/PEAKE02?speedtrapid=froogle&lead=froogle
a bit pricey compared to the PCMCIA equivalent, but we have a tablet that doesn't have a PCMCIA so we have little choice really!

Will they have a fallback to 3G and GPRS for areas that don't/won't have HSDPA?
CHris.

CHris.
It depends on the chipset used.. so far.. both units use the QUALCOMM chipset that is compatible to HSPDA/UMTS/EDGE/GPRS

I've got the GlobeTrotter 3G+ supplied by t-mobile, and that will fall back to UTMS and GPRS. It also does Wi-Fi.
